General Hux

Born on Arkanis in the final year of the Galactic Republic, Armitage Hux grew up amidst the chaos of galactic civil war. As a child soldier under Gallius Rax’s command, he witnessed the Empire’s brutal final days before retreating to the Unknown Regions with other Imperial remnants. This harsh upbringing shaped him into a calculating military strategist with an unwavering belief in authoritarian order.

Rising through the ranks of the emergent First Order, Hux becomes one of its most influential leaders by serving on the Supreme Council. Portrayed by Irish actor Domhnall Gleeson, the character embodies cold efficiency and barely contained ambition. His pale complexion and meticulously groomed appearance reflect his obsession with control and perfection, whilst his clipped delivery of orders demonstrates the calculated precision that defines his military approach.

Throughout the sequel trilogy, Hux orchestrates some of the First Order’s most devastating campaigns, including the destruction of the Hosnian system using Starkiller Base. His relationship with Kylo Ren remains perpetually tense, marked by professional rivalry and mutual disdain that threatens the organisation’s unity. Despite his tactical brilliance, personal ambition ultimately proves his downfall.

The character meets his end in 35 ABY aboard the Star Destroyer Steadfast near Kijimi, killed after his treacherous activities are discovered. His arc across three films explores themes of indoctrination, loyalty, and the corrupting nature of unchecked power within fascist regimes.
