Karis Nemik serves as the idealistic heart of the Aldhani rebel infiltration team in the Disney+ series Andor. Portrayed by Alex Lawther, this young revolutionary stands out amongst his fellow rebels through his unwavering belief in the moral foundations of their cause against the Galactic Empire. Unlike many resistance fighters who are driven purely by personal loss or pragmatic concerns, Nemik approaches the rebellion as a philosopher-warrior, constantly questioning the ethical implications of their actions whilst remaining committed to the fight for freedom.

As part of the carefully assembled team tasked with infiltrating the Imperial garrison on Aldhani, Nemik brings both technical expertise and strategic thinking to the dangerous mission. His role extends beyond mere participation—he serves as the group’s navigator and tactical analyst, using his sharp intellect to help orchestrate one of the rebellion’s most audacious early strikes against Imperial infrastructure. Tragically, Nemik’s promising contribution to the rebel cause ends during the Aldhani mission in 5 BBY when he suffers fatal injuries on Frezno. Before his death, he entrusts Cassian Andor with his personal manifesto—a philosophical treatise outlining his vision for the rebellion and the galaxy beyond Imperial rule.
