The Grand Inquisitor

The Grand Inquisitor serves as the primary antagonist during the early seasons of Star Wars Rebels, wielding a distinctive double-bladed spinning lightsaber and commanding the Empire’s force-sensitive hunters. This intimidating Pau’an stands tall with grey skin, sharp teeth, and piercing yellow eyes that reflect his fall to the dark side. Once a Jedi Temple Guard who protected the very institution he would later help destroy, his transformation into an Imperial agent represents one of the most tragic betrayals in the galaxy’s history.

Voiced with menacing authority by Jason Isaacs, the character brings a theatrical gravitas to his pursuit of the Ghost crew and their Jedi survivors. His fighting style combines traditional lightsaber combat with acrobatic flourishes, often spinning his weapon like a helicopter rotor to intimidate opponents and deflect blaster fire.
