Angelina Johnson emerged as one of Gryffindor’s most skilled Quidditch players during her time at Hogwarts, serving as a Chaser on the house team from her second year onwards. Born in late October 1977, she demonstrated exceptional flying ability and tactical awareness on the pitch, becoming a formidable opponent for rival houses. Her athletic prowess and natural leadership qualities made her a respected figure amongst her teammates, including the notorious Weasley twins.
During her seventh year, Johnson stepped up to captain the Gryffindor Quidditch team, taking on the challenging task of rebuilding the squad after several key players had departed. She faced considerable pressure maintaining the team’s competitive edge whilst dealing with the increasingly restrictive policies of Professor Umbridge’s regime. Despite these obstacles, she remained determined to uphold Gryffindor’s sporting traditions and pushed her players to excel.
Beyond Quidditch, Johnson joined Dumbledore’s Army during her final year, participating in secret Defence Against the Dark Arts training alongside fellow students. This involvement demonstrated her commitment to fighting against the rising threat of Voldemort, showing courage that extended well beyond the Quidditch pitch. Her greatest fear, revealed through her boggart, was Voldemort himself.
Following her Hogwarts years, Johnson eventually married George Weasley, one of her former teammates, cementing her connection to the extensive Weasley family. The couple went on to have two children together: Fred Weasley II, named in honour of George’s deceased twin brother, and daughter Roxanne. Through marriage, she became integrated into one of the wizarding world’s most prominent pure-blood families.
