About Cere Junda

A former Jedi Knight who survived the Great Purge, Cere Junda dedicated her life to preserving Jedi knowledge and protecting Force-sensitive individuals during the Empire’s reign. Originally trained under the archaeologist Jedi Master Eno Cordova, she served as a Jedi General during the Clone Wars before taking on the Padawan Trilla Suduri. When Order 66 was executed, both master and apprentice were captured by Imperial forces on Bracca, leading to a traumatic experience that would define the rest of her journey.

Following her escape from Imperial custody, Cere chose to sever her connection to the Force after learning that her former Padawan had been tortured and turned into the Inquisitor known as the Second Sister. This self-imposed exile led her to work alongside the former Jedi Knight Jaro Tapal’s crew aboard the starship Stinger Mantis, where she eventually took responsibility for training Cal Kestis, a young survivor who had hidden his abilities since childhood.

Her archaeological expertise proved invaluable in locating ancient Jedi holocrons and temples, particularly during the mission to rebuild the Jedi Order. Despite reconnecting with the Force and confronting her past mistakes, including a final encounter with Trilla, Cere’s story ultimately ended in sacrifice. She gave her life in 9 BBY during a mission on Jedha, facing down Darth Vader to protect the Hidden Path—a network dedicated to helping Force-sensitive refugees escape Imperial persecution.
