Gibbon served as one of Lord Voldemort’s Death Eaters during the Second Wizarding War, though he remained largely in the shadows compared to his more prominent colleagues. His exact origins and background remain mysterious, with even his blood status uncertain—though his allegiance to Voldemort’s pure-blood ideology suggests he was likely either pure-blood or half-blood himself.

During the climactic events at Hogwarts on 30th June 1997, Gibbon participated in the infiltration of the castle that would ultimately lead to Albus Dumbledore’s death. He was part of the group of Death Eaters who entered Hogwarts through a Vanishing Cabinet, breaching the school’s formidable defences. The mission marked a turning point in the war, as Draco Malfoy had spent the entire school year working to create this passage for Voldemort’s followers.

However, the night proved fatal for Gibbon himself. During the chaotic battle that erupted within the castle walls, he was struck down by a Killing Curse—ironically cast by one of his fellow Death Eaters in the confusion of combat. His death at the Astronomy Tower demonstrated the brutal reality that even Voldemort’s own supporters were expendable in the Dark Lord’s quest for power.
