Supreme Leader Snoke commands the First Order from the shadows, wielding immense power through the dark side of the Force. This mysterious figure emerges as the primary antagonist in the sequel trilogy’s opening chapter, orchestrating the rise of a new galactic threat from the ashes of the fallen Empire. Standing nearly three metres tall, his gaunt, scarred appearance suggests a being who has endured tremendous suffering, whilst his golden eyes burn with malevolent intelligence.

The character serves as mentor to Kylo Ren, manipulating the conflicted former Jedi through a combination of psychological manipulation and Force-based torment. Andy Serkis brings the Supreme Leader to life through motion capture technology, delivering a performance that combines regal authority with barely contained rage. His throne room aboard the massive dreadnought Supremacy becomes a stage for displays of casual cruelty and overwhelming power.

Born on the hidden Sith world of Exegol, Snoke represents one of Emperor Palpatine’s most ambitious creations—an artificial being designed to serve as a vessel for Sith ambitions. This revelation later recontextualises his role within the larger galactic conflict, positioning him as both puppet and puppet master.

His reign ends abruptly when Kylo Ren destroys him through deception, using their Force connection to mask his true intentions.
