This massive slug-like crime lord rules the criminal underworld of Tatooine from his fortress palace, commanding fear and respect across the galaxy’s outer rim territories. Born on Nal Hutta in 600 BBY, this Hutt gangster built a sprawling criminal empire that spans smuggling, slave trading, and various illegal enterprises. His operations centre around the desert planet Tatooine, where he holds court in a former B’omarr monastery, surrounded by a bizarre collection of alien creatures, droids, and criminal associates.

The corpulent gangster’s influence extends far beyond his palace walls, with connections to bounty hunters, smugglers, and corrupt officials throughout the galaxy. His business dealings often involve substantial debts and deadly consequences for those who cross him, as demonstrated by the carbonite-frozen Han Solo displayed prominently in his throne room. The crime boss takes particular pleasure in elaborate executions, feeding victims to his pet rancor or casting them into the Great Pit of Carkoon to be digested by the sarlacc.

Despite his grotesque appearance and cruel nature, this Hutt possesses sharp business acumen and political cunning. He maintains his power through a combination of wealth, violence, and strategic alliances with other criminal organisations. His reign came to an end in 4 ABY aboard his luxury sail barge Khetanna, when Princess Leia strangled him with the very chains he used to bind her. The puppet portrayal by Toby Philpott brought this menacing character to life with remarkable physical presence and personality.
