The Oasis is the entry corridor to Animal Kingdom rather than a destination in its own right, and that is deliberate. A densely planted run of winding paths with small habitats along them, macaws and anteaters and wallabies among them, it slows arrivals down and screens the Tree of Life from view until you cross onto Discovery Island. There are no rides here. Its job is decompression, and it is the part of the park most visitors walk straight through twice a day without ever really looking at. Give it ten minutes on the way out, when the crowds have gone and the animals are more active.

Frequently asked questions

Are there any rides in The Oasis?

None, and that is deliberate. The Oasis is an entry corridor designed to slow arrivals down and screen the Tree of Life from view until you cross onto Discovery Island. Its job is decompression rather than entertainment.

What animals are in The Oasis?

Small habitats set into the planting along the winding paths, with macaws, anteaters and wallabies among the residents. They are easy to walk straight past, which most visitors do twice a day.

When is the best time to walk The Oasis?

On the way out. The crowds have gone, the light is better and the animals are generally more active than during the morning rush. Ten minutes on the way out is worth more than ten minutes on the way in.
