Animation Courtyard is the park’s tribute to how Disney films get made, a quieter, shows-and-experiences corner rather than a ride land. It’s home to Magic of Disney Animation, the Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! stage show, Star Wars: Launch Bay and the Walt Disney Presents gallery, a walk through Walt’s own story and the company he built. Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!, The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure, and Walt Disney Presents. It is the most show-led corner of the park and the one aimed most squarely at younger children.
A walkthrough gallery of Disney company history, with original artwork, models, awards and a short film. It rarely has a queue, it is air-conditioned, and it is the closest thing Hollywood Studios has to a museum.
It is the best area of the park for them. Both shows are indoor, seated and short, the character meets are here, and none of it requires queueing in the sun, which matters more than it sounds in a Florida afternoon.
