World Discovery is EPCOT's thrill quarter, tucked east behind the entrance plaza, and the only corner of the park that reads like a modern Disney land rather than a 1982 world's fair. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind occupies the vast building that used to house Universe of Energy, with Test Track and Mission: SPACE filling out an area built around speed, space and simulation. It has EPCOT's highest concentration of headliners, its longest queues, and in Space 220 its most theatrical restaurant, which sells the conceit of eating in low Earth orbit and mostly gets away with it. Below you will find every ride in the neighbourhood with live wait times, plus a link through to each guide.
*Live wait times are shown for rides only. Shows are listed separately below.
Three, and they are the reason the neighbourhood exists: Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Test Track and Mission: SPACE. It has EPCOT's highest concentration of headliners and its longest queues, so it is the part of the park worth reaching first.
It is a launched coaster that reaches its top speed quickly and rotates the ride vehicles to face the action, but it has no inversions and no drops in the traditional sense. The rotation is what catches people out rather than the speed.
Cosmic Rewind occupies the vast building that housed Universe of Energy, one of the park's original 1982 pavilions. That is why the area reads as a modern Disney land dropped into a world's fair, because structurally that is exactly what it is.
