Monstropolis, Monsters, Inc. land coming to Hollywood Studios
A Monsters, Inc.-themed land called Monstropolis is replacing the Muppet*Vision / Grand Avenue area, headlined by Disney's first-ever suspended coaster running through the iconic door vault. Construction began in 2025; expected around 2028.
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster reopens, now starring The Muppets
Hollywood Studios' high-speed coaster returns re-themed as Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets (the Aerosmith theme retired), part of the Muppets' new home at the park.

No. The Aerosmith version closed in March 2026 and reopened that May as Rock 'n' Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, with the Electric Mayhem as the house band. Same launch and layout, all-new theming and soundtrack.
Do I need Lightning Lane for Rise of the Resistance?
It's the most in-demand ride in the park, so a Lightning Lane Single Pass or an early rope-drop arrival is the surest way on. Standby waits routinely pass an hour on busy days.

What happened to MuppetVision 3D?
It closed in June 2025 to make way for a new Monsters, Inc. land in the former Grand Avenue area. No opening date has been announced yet.
